Laxmikant Pyarelal: Aan Milo Sajna (1970)

Aan Milo Sajna

'Aan Milo Sajna' [review]: More of the same (as below), i.e. pleasant enough but kind of dull. 'Achha To Hum Chalte Hain' and 'Rang Rang Ke Phool Khile' are OK if a bit bland, 'Tere Kaaran Mere Saajan' is nice, sort of, but it's all in one ear and out the other, nothing that really sticks. Best (or least uninteresting) is 'Palat Meri Jaan' for, if nothing else, its Ashaisms. Which isn't a word, but you'll know what I mean. Maybe :-)

Oy oy oy oy oy oy oy oy oy!

Track listing:
1. Lata Mangeshkar & Kishore Kumar: Achha To Hum Chalte Hain
2. Kishore Kumar: Jawani O Diwani
3. Mohd. Rafi: Falak Se Tod Ke Dekho Sitare
4. Lata Mangeshkar, Mohd. Rafi & Chorus: Rang Rang Ke Phool Khile
5. Lata Mangeshkar: Tere Kaaran Mere Saajan
6. Asha Bhosle: Palat Meri Jaan

  6. Let's try that again, lol.
Cricketer is by a british bhangra band DCS (Danny Charlie Shin), it was posted few years back at Record Brother:
    http://recordbrother.typepad.com/
    imagesilike/2005/10/truly_internati.html
I'm guessing the links are still live. If the above link gets chopped off again, just go to http://recordbrother.typepad.com/imagesilike/
    and search "Cricketer".

Thanks again PC for all the great stuff. :D

  8. Love the candy-pink lettering on the cover. Sometimes the cover art is worth buying just on its own :-)

  10. Hey PC,

Thanks so much for all your albums, greatly appreciated !!!.

Have you heard of music director Rajesh Roshan ?. He brought a totally unique and new style of music (and western-type music) to Bollywood. Let me recommend some of his albums, I'm sure you'll like his style of music:

    Julie - 1975
    Doosra Aadmi - 1977
    Inkaar - 1977
    Swami - 1977
    Priyatama - 1977
    Des Pardes - 1978
    Kaala Patthar - 1979
    Man Pasand - 1980

    Cheers
