Shankar Jaikishan: Duniya (1968)

Duniya

More Shankar Jaikishan; 'Duniya' is another pleasant score with a good feel throughout. 'Duniya Isi Ka Naam Hai' is a nice opening track, 'Jawan Tum Ho' is upbeat and fun, 'Yeh Dharti Hindustan Ki' has a cool old-world oriental vibe and is probably the album's highlight... ultimately though, there's nothing really memorable on this particular effort. But do check it out for yourselves.

Track listing:
1. Mukesh & Sharda: Duniya Isi Ka Naam Hai
2. Mohd. Rafi: Falsafa Pyar Ka
3. Kishore Kumar & Asha Bhosle: Duriyan Nazdikian Ban Gayin
4. Mohd. Rafi: Jawan Tum Ho
5. Asha Bhosle: Yeh Dharti Hindustan Ki
6. Mohd. Rafi: Tu Hi Meri Laxmi

  2. Thanks for all the great posts, I've missed a few I'm just catching up! But Don! Awesome soundtrack! Do you have Gehri Chaal (1973)I'm pretty sure it's a Laxmikant soundtrack, but I can never find any trace of it. This fist song in the movie (tennis scene) is one of my favourites (if you haven't seen the movie, it's my number 2 after Don...)
Thanks again for all the wicked posts!

  4. MingMeow - Gehri Chal soundtrack is pretty easy to get hold of - iTunes or emusic.com have it listed. Also - it's available on CD.

Haven't seen the vinyl of this for a while though!
