Rahul Dev Burman: Ghar (1977)

Ghar

A lovely R.D. Burman score... highlighted, for me anyway, by the sublime bossa-tinged 'Tere Bina Jiya' and the dreamy (trippy almost) 'Aaj Kal Paon', both sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Can't really knock the remaining tracks either, it's an excellent album throughout. At a time when Burman was putting out one madcap, funked-up extravaganza after another, 'Ghar' was a decidedly different, much more subdued affair.

Track listing:
1. Lata Mangeshkar: Tere Bina Jiya
2. Lata Mangeshkar: Aaj Kal Paon
3. Kishore Kumar: Phir Wohi Raat Hai
4. Kishore Kumar & Lata Mangeshkar: Aap Ki Ankhon
5. Asha Bhosle & Mohd. Rafi: Botal Se Ek Baat

  4. In order to upload an album (or any other file) you need to package the songs/contents into a single file (zip or similar), then go to one of the many free file-hosting services on the Internet (I use www.easy-share.com) and basically follow the instructions given there.

  5. Thank you so much for doing this! I'm working on a museum exhibition about Bollywood and having these going on in the background while I am working keeps me in the mood. Although it is hard to concentrate, I am too busy singing and dancing along! This is definitely a community service you are providing.
