Laxmikant Pyarelal: Koi Jeeta Koi Haara (1976)

Koi Jeeta Koi Haara

'Koi Jeeta Koi Haara', the last not so very good one (for now). 'Au Baba Shaadi Too' and 'Ban Gayi Baat Baton Men' are the (minor) highlights on this. I promise the next Laxmikant Pyarelal album I post will be one of their classics. Coming up shortly though, before you all bail out on me, a couple of killer Burmans and Kalyanji Anandjis. (But do let me know if you in fact enjoy these, in my opinion anyway, lesser albums.)

Track listing:
1. Kishore Kumar: Ham Ne Har Ek Ghalat Kaam Kiya
2. Lata Mangeshkar: Au Baba Shaadi Too
3. Kishore Kumar & Asha Bhosle: Aaj Ham Tum Dono Chup Rahenge
4. Mohd. Rafi: Teri Meri Baat Nahin
5. Kishore Kumar & Asha Bhosle: Ban Gayi Baat Baton Men

  1. Thanks again! I find there is something of value to all of these albums, even the "minor" ones. In my opinion, you undervalue "Do Raaste," which is quite dreamy, and maybe not so traditional as it first seems. A lot of it depends on the mood you're in, I guess. "Do Raaste" really works for sustaining a subdued, dreamy, almost otherworldly mood--for me, anyway! This is a fantastic blog. Can't wait for the killer Burmans and Kalyanji Anandjis! I won't be bailing!

  3. I definitely get the subdued and dreamy mood from 'Anuraag', not so much from 'Do Raaste'. Might have another listen though.
Anyway, cool these too are finding an audience, I'm glad :-)
