There are two films called 'Chori Chori' that were scored by Shankar Singh and Jaikishan Panchal. The first one from 1956 is very famous (I don't have it though), this one is slightly less so. It's nice, nothing spectacular, but has a good feel to it. Check out Asha Bhosle's 'Hum Se Kar Le Dosti' for a delightful example of chirpy Hindi pop.
Track listing:
1. Suman Kalyanpur & Manhar: Chori Chori Jo Hona Tha
2. Asha Bhosle: Hum Se Kar Le Dosti
3. Asha Bhosle: Nikhar Aa Raha Hai
4. Mukesh: Tore Jaisi Chhori
5. Mukesh: Wasta Hi Na Jab Raha
6. Mukesh & Suman Kalyanpur: Dilbar Aaja
Oh man, I'm loving this. Never heard Wasta Hi Na Jab Raha before and now it's an instant addition to one of my playlists. Nikhar Aa Raha Hai was fun! Dilbar Aaja is just so wonderful. I really can't thank you enough for uncovering this treasure. :D

ReplyDeleteI do believe that this (so far) is the rarest soundtrack that has been posted. I have been searching high and low for this LP just for the song 'Wasta Hi Na Jab Raha'!!! Amazing song - mainly for it's wonderful poetry! Thanks!!!
